Can I put 8x AGP video card if my motherboard supports 4x
Hello I have a P4T533 Asus motherboard and I'm about to buy a 8x AGP nVIDIA 256 MB but motherboard's manual says that it supports only 4x AGP VIDEO CARDS. SO my question is "Is it going to run two times slower if it is on 4x then 8x and does my card support 8x? I think it says 4x because back then when they made my motherboard there wasn't 8x AGP.

Well most of the newer cards support the older 4x slots but the best thing to do is to check the card with the retailer before you buy it.
