can't access bios
A friend of mine has a computer that I'm "cleaning up" for him, and I wanted to look at the machine's BIOS just for the heckofit, but I press the "delete" key from the moment the computer starts booting and it never allows me access to it.... I assume either it's a different key that needs to be pressed on that machine, or the manufacturer (HP) disabled access to it, regardless, is there a way to get to it?

Try the F1, F2, and Esc keys. You could also try resetting the CMOS if it turns out there's a password or something on the bios.
