i purchased a mother board a winfastk7s anyhow wene i got it i was told it was from an upgrade so i just pluged it in anyhow i put a new battery in it coz it were flat and i load millenium on a hard drive but wene i try and boot it up it loads up as far as going to the desktop then after about 20 seconds on the desk top the screen goes blue and a message appears saying WINDOWS PROTECTION FAULT RESTART YOU COMPUTER god damn thing does it every time i boot...the problem isnt power or over heating but the graphics are **** wene it does boot to the desk top and the icons are huge
..... im using an amd500 sdram vga sound driving me nuts this.... ![]() |

Did you backup all your data and reinstall Windows? Trying to run Win (any flavor) with a different motherboard from the one the OS was installed with is almost guaranteed to fail every time.
This is because the installation detects and installs drivers for the motherboard and the OS assumes these drivers will always work... it will not detect a motherboard change.
