    Dead Motherboard....maybe?

    I have an HP Pavilion dv9000, (dv9233cl) product # RP249UA#ABA
It is just at one year old and when I boot up the screen showed squiggly short lines all over then would try to reboot. Eventually it wouldn't even do that, it will just remain black and nothing else. Any ideas anyone???? I think it is the motherboard.
I don't want to send it back to HP as every time I deal with them I need to take an anger management class as they are soooooo hard to deal with. I would like to get a motherboard and attempt to install it myself. Again, any ideas?? Does anybody know where I can purchase a reasonably priced MB? I was to thank anyone that responds to my inquiry in advance. Please, anyone with any thoughts on this give me a shout. Thanks!!!! Wader

Well, I think you shouldn't change the motherboard unless you're sure the problem is in it. It can be memory problem or video card or you have virus in your computer.
