FSB ? Few Questions...
Hey,
I slept through some lessons at school My question is, what is the FSB for again ? And if I'm already at this kind of stuff. What is the cache by the CPU for ? And by the mainboard, what do I need to look for when buying RAM, does it have to be faster than the Graphiccards RAM ? How can I calculate to get the maximum out of the components ? PLZ help! thanx so much |

1) Front Side Bus - The speed of the Motherboard, how fast information gets to and from the different compents
2)Cache is like mini ram inside your CPU, it runs at the same speed as the FSB. 3) Buying ram depends on your Motherboard and FSB. You should find out what type of memory your Motherboard takes, most likely DDR. Then check out your FSB, you will want memory that runs at that speed. |
