Fujitsu-Siemens Asus motherboard problem
Hi,
I'm attempting to fix a pc for my dad and running into difficulty
Here's the problem:
The pc in question is a Fujitsu-Scaleo Scaleo 400 with an Asus motherboard.
It wont boot and there is no beep when switched on.
1. I've checked the power supply and it seems fine, fans on it and on the motherboard spin up.
2. Checked the voltages on the atx connector including the power good signal, all appear fine.
3. There is power getting to the hard disk and cd-rom but the cd-rom won't open when the button is pressed and the hard disk doesn't spin up
4. The led on the motherboard lights up as does both led's on the power switch
5. I've checked both the cd-rom and hard disk via an ide to usb adapter on a laptop, both function fine
6. I've ripped out the modem and disconnected the cd-rom etc..following instructions someone gave me..to no avail
I'm really stumped on this one and i've gone as far as i can go my technical knowdledge is fairly limited.
Any suggestions anyone has would be greatly appreciated
Eoin
