GA-7N PRO2-FC Rev2.
I put together this system in November of 2004 with an AMD 3000+, 512mg of PC3200 ram, a 120gb Maxtor SATA harddive and an ATi 9600 AGP Video card. It was working fine until last night, the system froze while running ACAD 2004 and Outlook 2003. I attempted to reboot and got the "windows was not shut down properly, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. It checked the "D" drive with no problems, then went on to the "C" drive it checked it with no problems, but then locked up before getting the the logon screen. I tried to manually reboot the machine, but get 1 beep in POST it recognizes the CPU but does not check any memory. If I take the memory out, it will not boot to BIOS, if I put the memory in I can only get as far as the CPU. Is this memory problem or motherboard problem, possibly the northbridge? Please help! ! !
