Question Getting no picture from asrock skt775 motherboard to monitor
right..The other day i purchased a new motherboard and processor which were (Celeron 2.8GHz socket 775 processor and matching Asrock 775i65gv motherboard).

I set it all up fine connecting only what was necessary to get it up and running.

I switch it on and it powers up OK but there is no picture/signal going to monitor from motherboard. I tried a graphics card but it didn't work either.


Please help. Any help would be apreciated thanks.

Does it beep when the computer powers up? Any hard-drive noises?

If so, might be the cable itself. Do you have another computer that you can put this cable into and see if it works on that one?

Hi darklight and welcome to Dev Shed.

If you have tried a different graphics card and still no output on screen, I'm thinking that the monitor you are using is faulty - have you tried this on another machine ??

It's working now, the problem was that i had to swap power units to one with a 12v 4 pin atx connector and there must have been something wrong with the cables or something (it was lying in the loft for ages) so i bought a new one and hey presto i got picture
