Having problems setting up my new Comp.
Hi
I recently bought components off OCUK to build myself a new computer, I have put it all together, but am having problems getting it working. I think the problem is with the mobo but am not sure, below is a list of the hadware I have: Intel Core 2 DUO E6400 "LGA775 Allendale" 2.13GHz (1066FSB) Asus DRW-1612BL 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer Lightccribe ReWriter Hiper HPU-4K580-MK Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit BFG GeForce 7900 GS OC 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) Abit AW9D-MAX Intel 975X (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard The motherboard has on it a little display that shows numbers and letters on it which, when you look in the manual says what they mean, when I start the computer up it says 7F menaing Switch back to text mode if full screen logo is supported if errors occur, report errors and wait for keys if no errors occur or F1 key is pressed to continue: clear EPA or customization logo. I tried pressing F1 but nothing happens. when i start the computer up nothing shows on the monitor either. I have checked and all cables and everything is plugged in properly. And have tried putting in a boot floppy disk but that doesnt do anything. Help would be appreciated cheers Christian Last edited by CJ95011 : April 1st, 2007 at 11:29 AM. Hi CJ95011 and welcome to Dev Shed.
Have you tried clearing the CMOS ? Can you get into the BIOS ? Also, out of curiosity, do you have a USB or PS/2 keyboard attached ?
