Unhappy Help Needed! ASUS K8N-E Deluxe mobo with Windows XP professional

Hi everyone, I just built my first pc using AMD 3000+ with ASUS K8N-E Deluxe motherboard. I installed Windows XP professional on it, everything seems fine untill I try to connect it to my cable modem. When I use ipconfig in command line, it just say 'Window IP Configuration', nothing else. I know the problem is not the cable I used to link the modem and my pc, since I tested it with my laptop, no problem there. And the ethernet indicate light on my pc did come on when I pluged in the ethernet cable. Is this a window xp configuration issue? or some problem with my mobo? thanks in advance for your help.

Smile Please ignore this thread...

Turned out the network adaptor Window XP detected doesn't work, I have to install other network drives from ASUS.
