Installing Old Sound Card Causes Reboot At Shutdown Time
I have installed a sound card on my motherboard. Ever since, whenever I shut down the system, it reboots after 2 seconds. I have to keep the power button pressed in order to have the system finally switch off. What could be the reason? The sound card is old, so will installing a new-generation sound card resolve this issue?
Here are the details of my case:
Soundcard being installed: XG-924, with the chip installed having the words - "Yamaha HSP56 (CMI8738/PCI-SX), HRTF Audio Com M2G99-037B" inscribed on it.
The soundcard must be at least 5 to 8 years old, iirc.
Thanks in advance...
