try re-seating the CPU, remove everything that is not absolutely required including the HDD and opticals...if it still won't post either the CPU or the mobo is most likely defective.

I have reseated the CPU with no difference. The power switch on the front is lit, but I can not get it to turn the motherboard off. I had already went by the KISS (keep it simple stupid) method and had removed everything out of the tower and reseated everything...all the power clips, etc. I do have the 4 prong power supply on the motherboard as week.
This mother board has a chassis intrusion system, but there is nothing on the chassis door to hook up to that...is anyone familiar with this security system?? Since theres nothing to hook to it on the side does it need a jumper??????

Yes this is the cpu that I have and that they have listed:
Intel® Celeron® D 351 3.26 GHz 533 MHz 256 KB 0302 or greater
This was a barebones kit that i purchased where all the compatible things were included.....i am in the process of totally reseating the mother board and everything else again...making sure theres nothing touching the chassis.
Thanks for all the help and quick replies so far

Ok, I hope you find the problem without having to return anything...
I know sometimes questions sound like insults but nobody can cover all the bases so you just have to guess sometimes.
Good Luck, hope to see a "resolved" reply soon!

Heyy, am having the same problem, just got a new PSU - Enterage 450W.
The PC was working perfectly until I changed to this. Now, I can even get it working with my old PSU
