I have just changed the power supply on my pc to a 400W one. The motherboard now just beeps four times and the power stops. Any ideas?

You need to see what brand of bios you have, then look up the 4 beep code. It might be in your manual.
Check all your connections, and make sure you have the power supply set to "110v" instead of "220v", which would probably have fried the mobo (and be the cause of the problem)

My Motherboard is a PCChips M825G V9.2C and has American Megatrends (AMI)
BIOS. The 220 voltage has always been alright with the mobo, in the UK our mains is 240. |

Then 4 beeps indicates a memory error. Check that they are seated firmly (might have been bumped during the install). Try with each stick individually in different slots. Try different, known good ram. If none of that fixes it, it again points to a broken mobo.
