Message during bootup

Hi all,
Not sure what this means, when my system boots up, right after the memory test I get the following message..,

"Secondary IDE channel no 80 conductor cable installed"

Is this a problem with the MB, or cables?

Is that a new message? It might not be a problem at all, as you might not need a secondary IDE cable. Are all your drives working? If your CD/DVD drive doesn't work then open up the case and make sure all the cables are seated properly. about IDE cables

I'm using 2 HD, and CD-RW, and DVD-RW, parts of my system recognized the DVD as
DVD-RW, other parts as DVD-ROM, or as a CD-ROM, decided to reinstall XP Pro,
thus the noticeing of the message. May have been before reinstall. after install
what should be drive C is F, Drive D is now C,

I figured out the problems
1 the IDE cable was not the correct cable for the HD
2 my main HD was dying, and it did die

thanks for the help
