Motherboard HELP!!!

ok so i recently bought a BIOSTAR P4M900M4 478 VIA P4M900 Micro ATX Intel motherboard since the last motherboard i had went bad, i hooked it up to the power supply and now beep, fan on the Celeron processor is working, I thought maybe it was because the speaker went out or something so i hooked up the monitor to the board, nothing comes up. i've tried switching out the powersupply, taken out everything except the processor, no beep, nothing displayed.

Is there something im not checking?

Thanks,

if this is a new mobo with an older case/PSU ...you may be missing a 4,6 or 8 pin (CPU) power lead (that connects to the mobo in addition to the 24 pin connector...
