Hi nick_hill and welcome to Dev Shed.
You have probably already noticed, but I have split your thread off from the original one that you posted in as it's always best to create a new thread. What is the error message you are receiving ? Do you get an error when the machine shuts down ? The more information you can provide to us, the easier it is for us to help you out.
