Motherboard Sound Cards
I was just wondering if it was really worth it to get a new sound card for my new CPU or just use the one on the motherboard and save $30 - $70. (I just dont want a piece of crap sound card that you can't even make out the sounds)
Thanks |

Sound cards in mobo's these days are no longer crappy. They produce decent sound. However, a soundcard like the Audigy 2 provides certain advantages. For example, EAX, THX..

Actually I just want something that will produce decent quality sound out of speakers. I have about a 4 year old CPU right now with an original Sound Blaster Live! in it and I like the way it sounds...would that be similar to the one in this MoBo?
