I am trying to upgrade two computers. I have done this before and not had any problems. With both of these computers, after installing all new components (all but hard drives, cdroms, and modems) I am getting no video (agp). I can hear the harddrives booting...but no picture...I made sure to get compatable parts....I have tried using a pci video card on one of them with no luck....any ideas??? ![]() |

You've tried the monitor on another computer, and the video cards in other computers to verify that they work? Make sure the card is seated securely with the clip fastened all the way, check all your connections, make sure no pins are bent/broken anywhere. Try resetting the CMOS.

The monitor is the monitor I am using now...the video cards are brand new and meet the specs of the motherboards...They are seated...all I have connected are the hdd, video and mem...

Did you try resetting the BIOS to default settings (should be a jumper, or you can remove the CMOS battery). Are there any POST beeps?

Once get it back into former state. Is it working correctly?
Then exchange cpu, then memory, etc., one by one. |
