Motherboard&cpu probs (arrrhhh)
hi guys got a prob trying to upgrade my processor to a athlon xp2200+ 266 fsb now my motherboard is pritey old so i have upgeaded the bios to f10 witch is supposed to support the athlon chip my motherboard is the ga-7zmmh i have triple checked the jumpers and the sw1 switch and all i get is a fast clicking sound from the system speaker and no boot when i turn it on (i havent left it on for no more than 3 secs though due to the clicking).
any help will be much appreciated thanks sean |

Hi sean2006uk and welcome to Dev Shed.
I'm inclined to think that this is due to an incompatibility problem between your motherboard and your cpu. Where did you read that your mobo was suitable for that cpu ?
