Does msi k9n2 diamond support DDR2 PC-8500 1066Mhz memory ram?
Hello, the following specs:
Motherboard: Msi k9n2 diamond
CPU: Phenom 9650
HD: 500 GB sata
Video card: Gtx 260
PSU: Corsair TX750
RAM: 3gb DDR2 667Mhz
Bios version 2.3v
i want to upgrade my ram memory to a CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel, i dont know if the phenom 9650 supports it, if you could also tell me if my motherboard does i would really appreciated....or tell me what memory at what speed or/and brand is best for me...THANKS

on the MSI page says that unregistered memory at 1066Mhz is only for AM3, what is that unregistered and how do i know what memories are like that...

Yes, that ram will work with that board and cpu. However, you can save some money with Mushkin ram that is just as good.
Registered ram is mostly used for applications like servers, it's more expensive and not something to worry about generally for personal home use.
