When you open the case look over the motherboard, video card, etc. Look over the components to see if any look burnt, especially the capacitors (capacitor is little cylindrical thing that look like tiny AA battery, and if you know what a capacitor is please do not take offense to how basic I am being). They usually have a little cross (X) ontop and you may see stuff leaking from there. Also they should be nice smooth cylinders and not bulging. Leaking or bulging they are blown.
May also be something blown in your power supply (unfortunately power supplies seem to be a more common issue these days than in the past). Best way to inspect the power supply is to smell and if strong odor then likely fried. Also smell inside of case. If it has a stong odor good chance something is burnt out. |
