My compaq presario v3000 motherboard problem

hi, i have a compaq presario v3000 laptop..

1.adaptor is good
2.lcd is good

problem is when i go to turn on it turns on for few second and the shutdown

what is tghe problem?? can any one help me dear?

Any other information? What are the computer specs? Operating system?
Does it make any sounds? Does it restart at the same point each time, or does it vary? What shows on the screen before it shuts down? When did the problem start? How do you know the adapter and LCD are good?
There are a number of things that could cause your laptop to fail to start, so any more info you can give will help narrow the options.

computer spc is - 80 gb
operating system is -windows xp
no it doesnt make any sound

yes its shutted down in same time

only compaq text appear when it going to shutted down
approx 15 days ago
i tested the adapter and lcd to anothe system and i reaaesmble the system
