Angry new mobo, not working. AOpen AK79D-400VN

I've just bought an AOpen AK79D-400VN motherboard because my old one was taken out by the PSU. Its got the nforce2 ultra 400 chipset. Got it all sorted, yet it doesnt boot when i install the nvidia detonator drivers for my GF4MX, it'll only boot into windows when i have the pants standard VGA driver that windows starts with, anyone got any suggestions, or had the same problem with a similar board?

cheers

Ronnie
