Hello, My comp shuts down...
At first it worked good, today all hell broke loose as I played a comp game it crashed totally, shut down the comp and started an alarm, sounded like a fire truck siren...?? (hi/low beeps) I opened up the comp and realigned the heatsink on the cpu, and made sure everything sat thight (video card etc) and now it sometimes crashes as winxp is loaded.... Heat shouldn´t bee the prob since the abit EQ? said it was only around 40 degrees both in cpu and system. I bought the mobo last week and have played games since then. Any Advice? idea? comp spec: Athlon XP2800+ ABIT NF7s2g 512mb RAM 360W Chieftec PSU |

What BIOS? Need that to know what the high/low alarm means (I'd have guessed temp. Was that 40C at time of shutdown, or what you're reading now after reattaching the heatsink?)
If its award bios, hi/low is heat or cpu problems.
