Unhappy no boot after holiday ...

yet another no boot problem ,

i came back today after a holiday, put in the power cable, and switch on my computer. I hear three long loud beeps and in fear
switch of the computer again (so i dont know whether more beeps were going to follow...). From then on i cannot hear anything anymore (coming from my computer).
I first checked my cables, waited a few moments and switched on again. The fans do work, but no beeps, no BIOS action, no OS action, nothing.
I opened the cased, checked whether anything was smoking, checked the cables again, put in a new battery for the BIOS, but also then, nothing happening.... what could be wrong ?

The specs of the computer (which i have been using happily without problems for little more than a year) are:
Motherboard: Portwell - ROBO-679
Intel Pentium III
two S133 - 168pin DIMM, DRAMs

any help is welcome, thanks in advance !

problem traced down...

I read some more on earlier threads, and decided to replace some components to check their condition.

Found it was one of the 168pin DIMM DRAMs which for some
unknown reason seemed to have died.

I removed this one, cleared my CMOS, and the system booted
without problem. Guess i will buy me an new DIMM DRAM...

, so long,

vriewiel,
