No signs of life
I have a very old P3 IBM box that I was setting up for my daughter to play around on. I turned it on for the first time in many years and upon loading, Windows crashed and the system turned off. I tried to restart the system but there is absolutely no signs of life. No beep sounds, no lights. Did my motherboard fry or is this a power supply problem? Is it possible to find out which one?
Thank you in advance |

The fastest way to rule out a bad power supply is to remove the motherboard power connector and short the 2 pins shown in the image. if the power supply turns on the problem is most likly with the motherbord
