You don't need a fax machine to get faxes. Get a fax-to-email fax number from CallWave. Try it free.

Hello to all!I'm a new member and I like something about my computer. Before I start, here is my specs:
P5S800-VM ASUS Intel Celeron D 2.66Ghz PC 400 DRR SDRAM Dynet ATX PSU 300w total outputPower Samsung 40Gb 7200rpm It all started when i overclocked my processor to 10%(which is 2.9Ghz) then after 4 to 5 days the monitor blinks and it shut down.I turned it on but after 5-10seconds it turned off.I checked the monitor and try it to connect another cpu, monitor still works.I tried shorting the pins of the power of the ATX power connector & PSU still working. The hardisk still works. I hear no beeps and no display on the computer.I tried disconnecting all the connections but there is no beeping. Is it my motherboard that is damage or my processor. Can I still hear a beep codes even if I did not install my processor in the motherboard.I hope you help me with my problem. Thanks |

If the mobo isn't fried, booting without a cpu should cause a beep code. Of course, if it isn't fried but something else is, you should get a beep code anyway, so it doesn't sound hopeful for the mobo. You could try the cpu in another mobo if you want to determine if the cpu is still functional.

Thanks a lot for your advice. I finally found out that either the mobo or the ram is defective. I just replace the old mobo with ASUS P5S-MX SE with a 1 Gb RAM. I think that the RAM is defective. But anyways, thanks for advice. |
