Nvidia vid card with intel chipset?

My question is, Will I be able to use my nvidia 7950gt with a new intel based system? I had heard in the past that you would not be able to run nvidia on with intel, but I have also heard that you can so I just want to know if i will or not :P basically I'm currently running the vid card with an amd cpu on an amd motherboard and am wanting to know if i upgrade to a new intel based motherboad, cpu, ram and i going to need a new vid card as well. Thanks

P.S. Im not planning on doing sli, im just going to use a single card, if that makes a difference.

for a single card system the chipset only needs to support the bus the card is on, so basically if they are both PCIe it will work, you only need a nvidia chipset if you want SLI

Xenus agrees: I had no idea that was the case, but I suppose that's why you never see boards using an Intel
chipset with dual PCI-E slots. Thanks!
