Older CPU requires new mobo, suggestions please.

Looking for a replacement mobo for my Athlon XP 1600+. Been getting random reboots lately which I believe may be due to some hardware damage from a power outage. I checked the ram with memtest and it seems to be good, and will try an OS reinstall today to see if it solves anything (crossing fingers).

I'm looking at replacing the mobo next if things don't work out, I want something that has some room for CPU upgrades if possible. Doesn't have to be cutting edge, but this is my wife's comp and if she needs a bump in speed I'd like to be able to accomodate.

I'd prefer something without onboard video, onboard audio if it can support 4 speakers, AGP 8x, and as much room to upgrade the processor as possible?
Any hardware gurus out there with recommendations?
Thanks,
-b

I realize thread is a bit old but figured I would add a warning about the A7V8X-X should someone consider getting one. The chipset is hot and I would not recommend using in an older case (or not without modding as I did). I put A7V8X-X in older case but cut case to add extra intake/exhaust. I still have my A7V8X-X and aside from hot chipset is good budget board for older CPUs.
