PC Sutting down alternating beeps

Hi,

When using my PC it suddenly shutsdown with no warning and the motherboard gives out an alternating beep like a "German Police Siren". When I restart it then goes in to a cycle which will display the video card details and then restart again before getting to the next part of the boot up sequence. If I leave it off for about 10 minutes it will then reboot properly. Sometimes the Processor details are shown at boot up and sometimes they are missed out. Could the Proc be faulty?

you can look up your motherboard for the the beep codes to see the exact warning, could be several things, i would check the temps of the cpu and system when it shuts down, sounds like heat, if you wait 10 minutes and it boots back up.
