please help!!!! hd not recognized
I was told to place this question here.....I have an ASUS K8V SE Deluxe mobo, and a 120 GB samsung HD and when i tryed to install windows xp, it says that no array is defined and then it starts with installing windows xp but then it stops and says it doesnt detect a had drive? Any ideas why this may be? Please help, thanks

i also forgot to mention that my hd is a sata hd, sorry

SATA drivers and stuff

First - make sure you boot to the installation disk that came with your harddrive... do the drive installation...

then... You will need to download the contents of the SATA directory from your Motherboard installation CD and slap that stuff on a floppy...

When your beginning the XP install your gonna need to hit F6 to tell XP that you have third party drivers...

Then when prompted for the floppy with your drivers - stick that floppy in and follow the instructions... it will work...
