Post Freeze on USB Iso install
Heya,
So I am trying to install server 2011 from a usb. I used the microsoft usb iso software and it seems to work ok. When I plug the usb in the post freezes. I have the boot priority set to usb cdrom . I have also disabled the legacy usb support(I think that is correct). I am using a Gigabyte 770T-usb3 mobo.

I am just trying to create a trial version on a old Hdd just to mess with but any help would be great.

Have you checked that you can read the iso on the usb stick on another machine?

Have you tried updating the firmware on the mobo ?

The iso works fine on another machine and the firmware is fully up to date. Frustrating but not a super big issue since I can just burn and iso disk.

Good that you can burn and use the optical drive - wasn't sure if that was working or not!

Quick question, did you try more than one USB port ?
