Need more details, like the mobo manufacturer and model. Look in the manual, it will say where the power and led pins are for the case connections.

Firsly, lern how to spell properly, abit hard to read your post and make it make more sense because its sort of "senseless". Now, stop whinginging and go eexperiment, plug in where you think it goes and that its, if it doesnt work, give it a couple of gentle kicks, it'll learn to turn on by itself! Because if you like crazy then the computer will be like yep hes crazy and then you'll go more crazy and then you know what, just DO WHAT I TOLD YOU TO!

Before criticizing others, you might want to fix your own spelling/grammar...
Also, just "plugging things in" can be risky to a motherboard.
To the OP: give more details or we can't help.

Can I have some of your hair ? at 50 it falls out, too many computers.....

Most boxes will have a set of wires with small 2 pin / 3 pin and the speaker pin of 4 pins that connect the the lower right corner of the board.

Grab a manual either a real one or in PDF form off the net and download the pages required, generally the "front panel wiring" and it should show where the wires go.

Have fun but, when in doubt, ask, as knowledge is power.

15 and just now learning to work on computers.. should have started earlier lol just kidding I'm 16 and have been in more computers than i can count. If your working with an old board it can be hard cause they have alot of jumpers and when i say old i mean the old AT motherboards. If you have one of the newer motherboard its alot easier. Like someone said the header for the power and front panel light should be somewhere with in the bottom right hand corner of the MB. most have like PWR for power HD for the hard drive led just look for that. Another thing that may throw you off is you case may have a 3 pin line but the MB only has 2 or vise versa. Check that out to. If you want feel free to email me at nick123445638(a)yahoo.com or at nickscsas(a)sbcglobal.net and I will try to help you as best that I can.. I'm always willing to help. That goes for anyone Just to make sure everyone knows that (a) is for the at symbol

If it's an AT board it likely won't have a power switch connection as AT Power Supplies are wired straight to the power switch.

Nick, it's not a good idea to put your email address in a public forum like that... there are spambots that sweep through places like this all the time looking for that @. If you want to post an email address, then disguise it somehow-- (a) or (at)

Not a problem. I'm required by law to be useful at least twice a week.
