SCSI/Raid host controller message

Hi guys,

At the moment i am forced to work on a pretty ****ty old computer and it keeps saying. New hard ware detected please install drivers for:
SCSI/Raid-hostcontroller.

I put in the Bios CD to get the driver, but when installing it says something went (terribly) wrong when installing it.
I don't use this raid host controller as far as I know. Anyone maybe know an easy hot fix? Or to atleast make it shut the f**ck up

Btw my motherboard is a whooping ASUS K8N-e Deluxe (from the middle ages).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Soon I will sell this piece of crap, but I am already expecting someone to complain that it annoys them like it does to me

_edit: I just un-installed the thing from my hardware in control panel. If anyone has a more elegant way let me know :P

what OS are you trying to use with it?
ASUS site only supports up to XP/server2003.

You might try checking its DEV and SUBSYS numbers to see if Silicon Image makes a newer driver [in case you are using Vista/win7].

EDIT: just found THIS .

that should cover RAID /NON-RAID and possibly the IDE drivers for vista/win7/vista64/win64

Ha Thanks mate,

I was roaming around on the asus website, but that didn't gave much stuff. This seems to be good.

My OS is winHo's xp (for the time being, I screwed up my motherboard of my monster computer ;-)

Thanks!

if you choose WinXP as OS and go down to the IDE section, that driver "should" cover the RAID and Non-Raid functions of the SiiL 3114 SATA controller for that WinHO-XP.
