Strange Boot up problem!

I have a K8V-MX motherboard. I already have a 80GB SATA HDD connected and working fine. I just bought a LG SATA DVD writer and installed it. It works fine once the PC is booted up. But the PC does not boot up if the DVD writer is connected up and gives me error message that no BIOS exits!
Somebody please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
