i did what you said and it seems that im still having problems they used different sdram memory in the store but i have sdram at home that is different. I am using a 300 watt power supply. Do you think that its enough power to run the whole board. Im not hearing the memory is being red and the was different too but i tested it out on my friends computer and it works fine.

had to read the other post again, to catch back up, if your ram is different then this is more then likely the problem, could be many reasons. first i would hook everytthing up, without the monitor pluged to the video card, and the power cord to the psu, use the cmos jumper and reset the cmos settings, if the store tested your board with ddr ram, it may not detect the sdram unless you force it to. there could also be a jumper for the ram on the mainboard. if your ram is double sided, your board may not detect it, if your ram is ecc. your board may not support it, if you could provide me with the letter for the sv266(a,ad, or m) i will look up your board and see what settings, ram types, and anything else that might be a issue

the board is sv266a. they use sdram but it was one sided though.

i am looking at the manual as i type, first thing i noticed that may be a problem the jumper (J4) it is the frequency selection jumper, since you have a duron, i am assuming it is a 200fsb, which means 100 mhz in sdram, make sure this is set to 100 on the motherboard.

ok, the next thing would be the ddr/sdr ram jumpers, they have to be set to what you have, as with the above post, i am adding a attatchment of the diagram. if this is not the problem, are you sure the front panel connectors are correctly placed? the link on the above post has a download for the manual, have to have a pdf viewer(acrobat reader), if you dont have the manual that came with the board. after seeing the jumper settings this board has i would almost say it has to be jumpers, when they tested your board, did they use ddr or sdr ram?

The power supply in the case was bad. I had the warranty so I took it back and got a new one and it fired up and was working perfectly.
