Very Slow Bootup Problem.

Hi, i purchased an ASROck K7S8X motherboard and it all seemed to go in ok, but i have been having problems ever since i installed it of a slow bootup, basically what happens is it goes throught the normal bios routine, then the winxp logo comes up and loads, then i get a black screen, the optical mouse red light goes off, and the pc seems to be loading, then about 1-2 mins later i then get to the winxp login username screen, what could this be, is it a common problem, or is a bios problem, your help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Kevin

there are several bios updates for that board(get the latest one),could be some of your problem.
also if you have the driver install cd, drop it in the drive and explore the contents, i think if you look in the drivers folder you will find a ide folder, run the sis ide setup exe and it installs sis's version of intel's application accelerator.
