What PSU?
I'm upgrading my computer from a Athlon 2000XP to a P4 2.8ghz processor with a PCChips m952 motherboard. I think I'll need a new PSU, but I'm not sure what mine is. How do I find out what my PSU is, and what one will I need?

Quote:
look at the label of your current psu, depending on how many periferals to be connected, most P4's recommend at least 350w of power, but i would go higher,400W the the 12v connecter with it. jugular5 |

You can use this site to estimate the power you need based on the components in your system: http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/
Also, as jugular5 said, be sure you get a psu that says it is P4 compatible (has the 4pin square connector). Most any new psu should have this.
