Which motherboard for this RAM?
hi,

just came across this memory on ebuyer and looks like the fastest memory on planet.

OCZ PC2-8000 DDR II-1000 GOLD EDITION XTC

but can't find a suitable m'board for it. can any one suggest any? the problem has to do with the mhz of the memory which is 1000 MHz and not many m'board support it. thanks.

I've not come across any that would support this RAM. But, I would think that they would exist and they would be expensive.

most high end motherboards will, that RAM is for a motherboard that takes DDR2 800 @ stock clocks, then you can overclock your motherboard (and therefore your RAM and CPU) to bring the RAM to DDR2 1000 speed without actually overclocking your RAM (so you won't void the warranty on the RAM and you can be sure your RAM will have no problem at those speeds

so that ram is for overclocking and nothing else, if you are not going to overclock your FSB the just don't buy that RAM as its a waste otherwise
