I have the same problem as brooksy1290
I just built a brand new setup. When I switch it on, there is no video signal. There are no system beeps. The CPU fan, chassis fans, and graphics card fans spin, and the DVD drive tray opens and closes but that's it. What could cause this? Do I need to send my motherboard back? Or might it be the CPU or graphics card? Asus P5E3 Deluxe Wifi Q6600 CellShock DDR3-1600 2x1GB BFG 8800GT OC PCI-Express 2.0 Antec Quattro 850 PSU Antec P182 case I know the PSU works as my dad was using it for a few days. I've also tried swapping the memory around etc. I'm unable to test any of the other components. I've tried connecting the graphics card to different monitors but never get any signal. The case has no speaker, but it has an HD Audio connector that I connected to the motherboard. I tried plugging in speakers to the board but I never hear any beeps. Thanks,

have you tried running it without anything on the board?
I would take everything off (video/sound cards) and then remove the motherboard from the box and lay it on the anti static wrapping it came with. hook up the power and a video card (if you suspect the video card is the issue, go find an old one for this test). If you can boot from there, it just means you were grounding out somewhere.

It was because the motherboard wouldn't recognise my RAM (to fast). I put some slower RAM in, which allowed me to boot and then update the BIOS.
Now it does boot with the faster RAM - but it locks up during the POST ![]() |
