Will a 8600gt 1 GB card fit in my D101GGC Desktop Board ????
hi.. am planning to buy a new graphics card for my pc, i run the intel Desktop Board D101GGC and i wanted to know if it can support the 'XFX 8600gt 1GB' graphics card.... my board supports only DDR1 ram, but the memory type of the 8600gt is DDR3 so will it pose any problems?? please help...
also my motherboard has two pci slots (one x1 and another x16) can i use two graphics cards? i have a 6200 256MB card now, can i use it along with the new one??? please help... thanks................

yes, you motherboard does suppport PCI-E cards, including the XFX 8600gt 1GB.
the DDR1 is only for the RAM you plug-in directly on the motherboard, not for the graphic card
how can you use '6200 256MB' now ?

hi..
well i am using the " winfast PX6200 " 256MB card now.. but am upgrading it.. so asked if i can use tat in the pci x1 slot... i think i cant do that.. i might have to sell my old card... thanks anyways....................

you can use that card in a PCI-E x1 slot, but can't see any reason why you want to do it.
also, i don't think you have space enough when you have plugged-in the new card.

I'm just wondering the same as you but with differents cards
I have a Intel D945PVS but i don't know if the eVGA GTX280 1Gb DDR3 will fit on it. So le me know.

hi why do you think it wont work???? it needs a pci-e 16X slot and my mother board has it.... so it should work no???? now an planning on buying a 280 itself so please sugggest

I had a GeForce 8800, and it fit fine (space wise).
I know when I upgraded to a 9800GTX, it fit, but was close as the thing was massive.
However, i ultimately got a custom case, so it doesnt even matter anymore.
my 8800 wasnt very big, single pci-e slot, skinny. fit fine.
my 9800gtx, was a double slot, with the enclosure for the fan and whatnot.
