Motherboard problem, need input!
I just got to acquire this Biostar P4M800-M7A motherboard which has support for Dual-Core processors from what I gathered from sites I gathered online. (Am unable to pose any url so the below is an extract of the processor part I can find.)
# Supported Processors:
# Intel Pentium 4 and Celeron D Socket 775 processors
# Supports Dual Core CPU
I paired it up with an Intel E2220 Pentium Dual-Core Desktop Processor. I've never tested both before and they're in new conditions.
Upon switching the system on, it just won't boot. No sound, no visual, nothing. Are the chipset and motherboard incompatible?
If they really are incompatible, after they're paired up, will only the motherboard be spoilt, the processor or both?
I'm really at a lose. Have no idea whats wrong.. Appreciate any feedback, thanks!!
