|
annoying problem
my client is running SQL on win98 machines, MS SQL will not startup when he reboots his machine. I have seen that the option is ticked, what do i have to do for it to automatically start ?

While I don;t use SQL on 98 (nor do I think it is a good idea). I *believe* (never actually tested) you need to have the SQL Server Service Manager in the startup folder of the start menu. it will start SQL for you.
If the computers require that a user logs on, SQL will not start untill after logging on.

You'll need to start the database engine and the agent together. Hope this helps  . Unfortunately, I've never run SQL Server on a non NT class OS, so that's the best I can come up with.
