Question Code has random misspellings

Hello,

We have an inhouse developed vb application that backends to a ms sql database. The application is compiled into an exe.

On a couple machines, we are getting errors when accessing the database that look like parts of the code are misspelled. They look like random mispellings. I know the code its self is spelled correctly and works on 100+ machines.

Here are a couple expamples of the errors I'm seeing:
Invalid column name 'sotrce_documdnt'
Invalid column name 'sourceWdgcumeft_no'

The first one is suspose to be source_document and the other is source_document_no.

What could be causing these couple of machines to be able to misspell the column names. I have deleted the exe from the machines and coppied a good version to the machine. I have noticed spyware on the machine and used spybot to clean it. Any clues would be helpful.

If I seem a little vague, I'm sorry. I'm not the programmer, just the computer tech.

Thank you,
Keith Sirmons
