Database not releasing Free Space
Hi,
I have a database which grows to about 300GBs every month. At the end of every month certain tables within the database are dumped zipped and then deleted from the DB. The problem is after deleting all these tables and several shrinks (carried out through enterprise manager) I have 250GBs of free space showing in Enterprise manager but only 20GB actually showing on the hard disk in My computer. How do I get the Database to rekease all this free space back to the Hard disk itself? Any help appreciated. .logic. |

Consult your SQL Server Books Online for "DBCC SHRINKDATABASE"
