Disabled Trigger still executes
I have a trigger on a table that I do not need any more, and so I have disabled it. I instead created a new table and re-created the trigger on this new table.
However, a couple days ago I accidentally made a change to the disabled trigger instead of to the correct one. Since it is still disabled, I did not think it would matter. Turns out though that it is being executed. So now I have 2 triggers running instead of just one. This has, obviously, caused me a big headache and I eventually had to delete it altogether.
Is there a reason why it is executing? I am using SSMS 2008
P.S.: I tried re-enabling and then re-disabling it but no luck!
