How long to Shrink DB
Hi,
Roughly how long would it take to shrink a 300GB db, its been running over 8 hours already (throught enterprise manager)?

I'm not sure the biggest I've ever shrunk was 15GB and it was almost instantanious. I'm curious to hear how long it took.

How long does it take to shrink a database with 4GB of data?
How does the shrinking improve the performance?
