I have seen this on this forum before but there are no detailed explanations on how to do this... I am trying to import a .dbf file into Sql 2000. I'm not sure on the driver to use to actually point to my required file I think once I know that I can get it to work. I had seen that using one of the dBase drivers might do this. Does anyone know ? Thanks
Please I'm begging ... I see people looking at this artivle but no help... ahhhh I'm going crazy.. Jim Last edited by jimwal : April 2nd, 2004 at 02:41 PM. Reason: Begging |

Problems with Jet Engine
When I use the DBase drivers to import this I get an error stating that :
Microsoft Jet Database Engine External tables not in expected format Context: error set OpenRowSet on Provider .... I get this on the Dbase 3,4, and 5 drivers..... I have tried the Visual Foxpro OLE DB driver but when I get to the point where I need to pick the source and the destination nothing shows on the screen... Can anyone lend a hand ? I really need detailed instructions here... Jim |
