    Problem with scheduled jobs

I have a number of jobs scheduled on SQL Server 2k (some t-SQL, some CmdExec, some DTS) -- they are *all* behvaing the same way.

They execute exactly the way they are supposed to -- but quite slow. When they are finished, the "Last Run Status" never changes from "unkown". Also, the jobs seem to hang on "Performing completion actions" for longer than expected (because there are no completion actions except to write to the windows app events log on failure, which it isn't doing).

If I execute the tSQL scripts manually in Query Analyzer, they run 10 times faster than the job that executes the same stored procedure... so something isn't right.

I recently had a new server built and ported the existing database to it -- these jobs were working fine on the old server. These symptyms started with this new box. I can't think of anything with the installation/setup that would cause this...

    Any ideas?
