Keyword vs FullText Search

I plan to setup a searchable catalog of images and videos.

To make it searchable I plan to either have it search the description or make keywords.

I'm not sure which will be more effective.

In both cases I would have to include enough unique detailed words so that the user will be able to find it. Since I cannot possibly imagine every possible search term a user might enter to try to locate a specific entry, I realize it cannot be perfect.

So now I am wondering if I should make up keywords and just search that, or make up long descriptions and try to have it search that, or do both some how.

I'm not THAT concerned about speed at this point since it is relatively small that this point.
